La semaine dernière nous avons vu le pédiatre pour Mini. Celui-ci a jugé son retard de langage assez sérieux pour l'inscrire au CRDP. Ça mange quoi en hiver un CRDP? C'est un Centre de Réadaptation en Déficience Physique.
En fait, dans ce centre Mini pourra voir des spécialistes, un orthophoniste bien sûr mais, en cas de besoin, un ergothérapeute, un psy, des éducateurs. C'est donc une bonne nouvelle. Il aura d'avantage de support, nous aussi, et nous n'auront plus à défrayer les couts de l'orthophonie - 85$ de l'heure ça fait bobo au budget.
Mais moi, j'au accrocher sur le mot "déficience". Mon fils a besoin d'un suivit pour une déficience physique. Ouf! Moi qui disait que je voulais juste un diagnostique précis et que je ferais face, ben je viens d'apprendre qu c'est pas si facile que ça même si on se prépare.
Malheureusement, nus n'avons pas encore de diagnostique précis, on doit voir un neurologue en mars, voir aussi ce que le CRDP va donner comme encadrement. Selon le pédiatre c'est peut-etre une connection qui se fait mal dans son cerveau mais ça ne toucherait que la mécanique du langage. Pour le reste tout est beau. À ce qu'il a vu de Benjamin ça se corrige.
Ça va être long. On va avoir besoin de beaucoup de travail, d'encadrement et d'amour. Mais on devrait pouvoir l'amener à parler correctement, même si le pire scénario, une dyspraxie verbal, se réalise.
Une semaine plus tard j'ai surmonté le choc du mot "déficience" et je profite de mon adorable taquin ;)
